The only life Gracie has ever known has been the nursing home and the residents who are like family to her. Now, she risks losing it all and her friends scattering to different homes if she can’t come up with the money to save the business.
Between caring for his ailing mother and running the family farm, Brandt is stretched thin. Too thin. When his mother begs him to enter a local scavenger hunt, win the prize money, and convert the farm into an orchard, he knows he can’t refuse her anything, so he reluctantly agrees.

Brandt doesn’t understand why she dislikes him so much she won’t even talk to him. If the nursing home residents would settle down and stop getting into crazy shenanigans long enough, the two might figure out that they have more than a little in common.

Although I am more of a fan of romance books that have sensual, steamy scenes – I began to tire as of recently and wished to find a good old-fashioned, true and genuine romance read that doesn’t need to rely on such scenes to deliver a worthwhile read to fans of the romance genre.So, when I came across ‘Cupid’s Quest’, I knew from the summary that this just might be the type of read but I really had no idea what I was in for.
Well, to put it simply, author Lori Soard has created what I consider to be the absolute definition of a top-quality romance read that I personally enjoyed from start to finish. The story is well-written, creative, and even quite humorous at times, but most importantly, the dynamic and chemistry between the main characters is executed near-perfectly in a way that seems truly realistic – as well as also being completely tasteful. “Cupid’s Quest” is a read that should not be overlooked by any fans of the genre, I will definitely be recommending it to friends of mine.

I really enjoyed this book; the only thing I didn’t like was the name of the retirement home. There is always something new, if it is only a new day!
A light easy read with a rather predictable ending. The plot centers around a scavenger hunt which is going to be the answer to the two main characters financial woes. Love between Gracie and Brandt blossoms and fills their dreams. Brandt searches for and finds a relationship of forgiveness and acceptance with God.
Years ago I worked in a nursing home similar to Days Never New. The patients all knew each other and they felt at home there. When that nursing home closed many of the patients were moved to others parts of Texas. It was hard for them to lose another home, more friends and the feeling of security. This story offers love and hope along with a great story.
If you're looking for a sweet, clean romance with small town values, you’ve found it with Lori Soard’s Cupid’s Quest. This is the first book in what is sure to be a wonderful series, Cupid’s Crossing. Gracie and Brandt, as well as the quirky nursing home residents, will capture your heart. The story is well-written with amazing, well-rounded characters that are thrown into true-life situations. I will be sure to read the rest of this series.
I thought this was a cute read! It was completely wholesome and very faith-based. All of the characters, not just the leads, had endearing personalities and I thought it was sweet that the author allowed there to be a parallel romance among some of the older folks. I especially was drawn to the chapters where Brandt's mother was driving the scenes. I have personally been in his exact position and, to me, they felt very life-like and I could sympathize with him greatly. Overall, a lovely read.
Lori does an amazing job capturing the hearts of readers as she all but draws a visual of her characters by words, giving you a vivid mental picture of their daily lives and how they handle difficult stressors in life. What's even more incredible is the heart of Gracie, the main character, am amazing young lady who will take on the
very difficult job of providing for nursing home clients. After losing
a mother-in- law to Alzeheimers, I know first hand how wonderful it is to have people who really care. This is very well written, emotional in a good way, ends with a sweet, promising love. Well done Lori!!!
When a radio station in Hoosier country runs a scavenger hunt with a big cash prize, it turns out the money could be put to good use by at least two deserving residents in Cupid Corners and, amazingly, it isn’t just the intrigue about which of them might win (or not win!), but also the conflict one feels about who to root for and how that conflict could possibly be resolved.
It has been a long time since I read a romance; so many of them didn’t stay with me beyond the moment I turned the last page. Cupid’s Quest by Lori Soard is not one of those romances. It is a well-written story about dimensional characters that tug at one’s heart. They are living in situations all too familiar these days. It has characters that every generation can identify with. Anyone who loves romances and wants reading that is fun, easy, and heartwarming should make a point of visiting Cupid Corners and following "Cupid’s Quest. "
